Dichlorophene (CAS. 97-23-4) is used as a veterinary fungicide, anthelmintic, and anti-protozoan, as well as an ingredient in antimicrobial shampoos and soaps. In combination with toluene, it is used for the removal of parasites such as tapeworms and hookworms from dogs and cats.
